Gao Renyou and Laiyi hookup in ch.30
Then Gao Renzuo and Zaihang have backstory on 45-47. A bit more from Renyou and Laiyi too. It's worth it just to read for the side characters imo.
Also, read her other two if you haven't. They are better and exist within the same world of magic. Reverberation happens before Promise. She has said she wants to continue adding to it in the future. I believe the next one will focus on Qi Chens nephew.

I am fr tryna reach the part where the side couple everyone’s talking about shows up but I fear I’m too pissed off with the main couple to even reach it ain’t no way anyone’s into their story when all it is, is just the Top forcing himself onto Jing. LIKE I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE PISSED OFF RN CUZ OF IT
