many words that possess negative connotations that shed their negativity exist. “why is tits a bad word” “It’s just a bad word!” “why?” “bc it’s disrespectful!” but why is that particular word disrespectful while other words for the same thing aren’t?” “bc that’s just how it is.” it’s all very arbitrary while also being true. sometimes a word is just disrespectful, but added nuance matters too, insert example above comment. we just aren’t going to agree on what words are bad and what aren’t so this is so so sooo very pointless and i wish i could’ve realized how pointless this would all be laterrrrr. usually when words become “bad words” it’s because someone (usually a religious leader or group) decides a certain idea is sinful or wrong, and this usually pertains to body parts. in the real world, everyone expects a sense of professionalism from the person they are speaking to, so saying “cock” “ass” and “tits” are going to make you look crude. and “tit” only became a way to refer to a woman’s breast in a vulgar way in the us like the 19th century or smth, when it originally was just a word to refer to the nipple of a woman or animal, where teat was also derived from (think cow udders or whatever). why we give meaning to such words is completely arbitrary, and most of all, this an anonymous forum for a pirating site. no one expects that sense professionalism in our speech, and many choose to interact with the comment section as if we’re all friends in a casual conversation. sometimes it gets serious and sometimes we just say anything, and sometimes we call people out for saying crazy shit, and sometimes we’re wrong for calling them out, just like real conversations with friends and friend groups. this sense of familiarity is strange but it makes sense, we’re all doing something only a little illegal, and reading the same manhwa/manga/manhua/whatever. but we are still strangers at the end of the day. again we just fundamentally can’t agree with the usage of words and when its appropriate to use them. im at the point where i think its okay because some people just aren’t meant to get along, that doesn’t make them disgusting or another person too prudish, it’s not right at the end of day to accuse them of being disgusting (this was before i looked at their profile), but i’m also sorry for calling you such, ie puritan, prudish (i still think you kinda are tho in like a not against you type of way, in like.. that’s just how you are).
also, reading is a healthy form of escapism, a good book will draw you in and make you temporarily forget about stress or hardships in life. i mean that’s probably why we’re on this site reading sweet, sweet pirated content. just like how you said my yapping is a good distraction, reading is a good distraction too. at the end of the day… you still go back to living your life and acknowledging what you read was fictional and while it can affect your life, you can’t affect the fictional characters or their setting. again this was before i looked at their profile but in general, when people choose to react like op, it’s coming from the fact that we are only spectators in haesoo’s life, and can only react given what’s happened, happening, or what’s going to happen. that doesn’t make a reaction that isn’t pure introspection and pity for haesoo wrong, and it’s okay if you think differently, i don’t think it makes either of us wrong anymore.

Honestly, I knew after some point as well that we wouldn't entirely see eye to eye on this and that it boils down to this being a case of neither of us being particularly wrong. Obviously it makes sense that a lot of words are arbitrarily characterised as inappropriate, and even more so if the one behind it all is religion. And not only religion, it also depends on the governors. The ones in charge are usually the ones who misshapen, alter and later on impose the meaning of words depending on their preferences. Similarly to values and ideologies.
Whenever all that crumbles down, the only ones we will have to trust to fundamentally navigate us are ourselves. I think it was not pointless to have exchanged our viewpoints, hence why I went on and on and on and exhaustingly on with this. It is a good way to get to know someone after the heat calms down and we look back on it. You're right that I am a puritan at heart, it's because I experienced this critisism towards sexuality from my home early on and it stigmatised me.
