Tj with his natural arrogance thinking Ian is free because he said so after ruining his life, crushing his soul and thriving off his guilt while Ian still has to bear the consequences of his manipulation and stupid gang life is so sick... Boasting his scar with nasty intents while Ian always hid his and never used the fact that he's chronically incapacitated or that his dream was totally ruined against anyone.. Truly opposite people with clashing values.

Ian was a drug addicted before with no family! TJ also had a hard life. There was no ruining his life happening! Both were fucked from the beginning!

Fully disagree, Tj had a foster home and other chances in life! Tj kept him in the gang where he was victim of homophobia while he made sure he had a clean straight image, he ruined his dream, sent his subordinate to kill him, sent him to prison which is totally gruesome, used him as a sex toy for his very first time when Ian was obviously disturbed, played with his guilt, broke all existing boundaries and more. I'm not saying Ian couldn't have said or done anything if he wanted Tj to stop using him, but tj is pure scum and one of Ian's abuser, it's so obvious but the author has to explicitly make him say it here again.

had to* basically you people don't want to accept who tj truly is when it's been easy to read between the lines.. he's beyond nasty, it goes farther than "they're toxic for eo" because only tj is abusive.

A lot of fucked up things happened between them for sure. I don’t remember about TJ having good foster parents, so send the chapters. I haven’t seen anything about TJ’s subordinate trying to kill Ian, which chapter? I do remember them hurting his foot, which cannot be called trying to kill him as long as I remember. But you’ve also forgotten that TJ was the one who has helped Ian stopping doing heavy drugs since he was prostituting himself and being used and beaten up by a psycho. You talk a big talk as if Ian was in such a good path before. NO, it was even WORSE! Btw, Ian wasn’t being discriminated in the gang, he was actually one of the most respected since people were scared of him. You also didn’t mention about Joe coming on Ian’s sleeping face, which is abusive as hell and guess what? Cross boundaries!

For the foster parents and subordinate moment : reread the story friend, the first was said and second is shown during the flashbacks, it's also implied that tj is behind. And yes Ian was in a terrible shape before knowing tj, but he was totally suicidal after knowing him too! Tj didn't make his life any easier, quite the opposite. Also Ian was gay and in a homophobic environnement, which tj knew yet he kept him there knowing how Ian would feel, sorry if I think that makes him a victim of homophobia because he was stuck with prejudiced people belittling his kind.

Jo was Ian's fwb and situationship, it's true that this scene shows he's not perfect and possessive, it's truly nasty for some, but the author said it wasn't rape or rapey, and if Ian knew he did that, I doubt he'd feel abused, which isn't a positive thing since he took all the abuse from tj too and would forgive him everything too. It's definitely crossing boundaries and I never implied Jo is perfect, but he's FAR from slightly as bad as tj.

I truly understand why y'all see some sort of complex and pure devotion in tjian saving and ruining each other, but I also don't lol. I won't shy away from calling Tj Ian's abuser and not his savior, I can't see deep connection and love in breaking the bones of your beloved to keep them by your side.
