As a paychology student, I cant help but to comment that according to a text in Chapter 1, the ML seem to address that PTSD is an anxiety disorder. But IT IS NOT. PTSD is under the category of TRAUMA-AND-STRESSOR RELATED DISORDER according to a book DSM-5-TR. One of these symptoms are flashbacks of the traumatic event or feeling like its happening again, difficulty sleeping, losing interest in activities, always on guard, easily frightened.
Anxiety Disorder, on the other hand, is another type of disorder in which there is always and an excessive feelings of nervousness or anxiousness.
Trauma-and-stress related disorder occurs if there's something or someone that triggers the ML, for example at the beginning of the chapter wherein the plane is ready to take off, but this triggers the ML which makes him flashback during the time of his traumatic event. Anxiety disorders occurs also by a traumatic event, but it may also be coming from the genetics and stressful environments such as workplace, school, or even at home.
If a person has some any type of anxiety disorders (there are many types of specific anxiety disorders), for example, the ML might not want to be in a plane because of a constant worry that the plane might crash, or something like that. More likely that he is anticipating the worst events that will occur.
