Actually, it's most likely where he dumped his father's body, but he was non-specific as to if his mom was also there. All we know is that he was referring to his father as being the police tape. I highly doubt that his mother was also there, because he had a great deal of respect for his mom.
I'm assuming he only killed her because she happened to be a witness of his father's death, and then he had to kill her.? (Don't quote me on that, just an assumption)
True, you have a point. Although, I still think that he bears little to no respect for his father, because he did abuse him in the past, which probably drove him to killing him in the first place. The apple being placed on the ground could have been symbolism for him and his mother being together, but not literally. In other words, they were in is loving relationship but were not buried in the same place. Plus, if they had been buried together, don't you think he would have said 'parents' instead of 'father'?
I think there's more to it than the abuse that drove him to kill his father, but that's only a guess. Sangwoo tied the police rape around the tree but walked away to place down the apple. It's possible they weren't buried in the exact same location but a small distance apart. Maybe he used the police rape as a marker for his dad but something else for his mom.
Pretty sure this is a body-dumping date and not a hiking date. (I'm using the term "date" loosely, by the way.) Bum said Sangwoo seems to know the area well, so we can probably assume that this is how Sangwoo usually disposes of the bodies.
Also, I feel like if the team from Criminal Minds was on this case, Sangwoo would already be on death row....
