I think the point of the sticks being empty and him stating that she had “defied the heavens” is because she already died once and should not have regressed as she did. However, because she regressed, she has no fortune and I guess isn’t affected by fate, since she’s technically not even supposed to be alive still. Because of this, her existence in itself goes against the heavens.
Makes sense
So I searched and google said it just means 'Uncertainty', 'Self-Reflection', and caution towards each steps you take towards an unpredictable path.
I don't think 3 of empty red sticks mean sth bad.. Someone educate me on this, I might be wrong
