in ch2 the ml said he was attracted to one person when he was in high school (probs gonna be the mc + they have a bit of an age gap), so i think ppl are just talking about what age the mc was at that time

why do they think there's an age gap? i can't find any mention of the mc's age or him being in college or anything that would indicate he's much younger than the ml?

visual indicators (the wrinkle in the inner corner of the ml's eye, a short hand for artists to make ppl look older lol) and also after that bit about ml's 1st love, the mc thinks "how old was i when he was in high school?", implying he at least thinks he's younger

i'm guessing either the ml just seems older but is around the same age, or the gap isn't that big if the ml was (probably) attracted to him while in hs ;;
