I read this at the worst possible time: I'm nursing a flu
Fuck this shit man. Fuck you Maximillian.
It's so ironic because his name Maximillian means "The Greatest" but to Jean, he is "Little Pearl". He really is the greatest, in that he's the brain behind the coup, which meant that even Jean was acting as the leading role in the play he orchestrated, and what–it is a plot where his death is a necessary piece, if not THE piece that completes the play. It's so—Ugh. Brilliant? Brilliantly martyr. And he was right–in that they should have never met at all, they only made this whole thing harder on themselves.
But FUCK, when you think about the times he unexpectedly appeared around Jean, wanting to be seen by him, saying "I just suddenly wanted to see you." BECAUSE HE WAS TURNING BLIND ^$*#*@× FUCK THAT SHIT
I usually leave 5/5 reviews to be a WOULD READ AGAIN but this one ahh. I know it's gonna be a better read the second time knowing what I know now, but I honestly just kinda want to forget about it or the fact that I read it at all. But yes, in all seriousness, I would love to read this again in better health so I can appreciate it better.
