How do I change profile? im a new user so I don't have a clue...also how do I add updates ...

you can change your profile by clicking on it and clicking settings

Click on the ≡ at the upper right corner of the site then click settings, once there you'll see your profile settings and scroll a bit 'till you see a "upload" button, once you upload your profile scroll down again and click save
