This story has changed me for good and I will never be the same omg. Sunshine has raised the standards so unbelievably high and I fear I’ll look for him in every man. The way they loved ei in every play through is insane and his absolute dedication to atone for his mistakes and let her be back to her world, and then her absolute dedication to be with him no matter what. He trued his literal best to make her hate him and deep down she never did and always fell in love that is INSANE. I got literally chills when sanjae realized they were in a loop when he saw the 102 messages. Also I love that every character was wrapped up perfectly, esp sanjae and youngjung.
To be honest the ending was amazingly done like jt was perfect because although I truly did want to see more of their life and romance, I think it’s beautiful that we didn’t. Immediately I realized that it made sense bcs when we find out what the emperor was planning all along and when he was abt to die he said “Our memories will be mine alone”, it made so much sense that their actual romance together at the and is theirs alone and we won’t be allowed in to take a glimpse at it. I also love the idea that the game world ended up being a world itself that also made a new one, meaning there was truly no answer to the question of whether the “reality” they lived in was reality, so long as their hearts were real then it was real.
Sunshine truly like his name shines because having that sort of dedication and passion and absolute ability to throw away everything so your loved one can be free and happy is js so perfect of him and like he’s literally the best male lead ever. He’s such a complex character that even when acting as if he hated our girl we cld easily tell the turmoil he was going through doing that but still not giving in js so he can give her the ending he thought she deserved. He’s so dedicated to making sure she ends up happy, he happily let the world burn for it.
