Sexual preferences vary wildly. I think one could say, as many people as there are in this world, that's how many unique sexual preferences there are.
Some people like to beTops, some like to be Doms, some like intercourse with an even power balance.
So in my opinion there is no "average man/woman likes xyz".
One has to try to find out what their (potential) partner is into and hope that the preferences kinda match

Just one thing I can say to "degrading play" is, that I have yet to find a woman who genuinely likes deep-throating to the point she is suffocating and about to vomit. Hmmmm maybe you find some scientific research on Google. I can also imagine that some polls on random websites can be found. But the problem with polls is that no one can say for certain who voted. If the question was "If you are woman, do you like being dominated" who can say for sure that only women participated and not maybe a majority of men or some teenage kids for shits and giggles. So internet polls are usually dogshit.
But as I said, maybe you find some scientific research, via Google Scholar for example. Maybe a psychology paper issued an article on that topic.
