I think the mc keeps going back because of trauma, like how a lot of abuse victims end up forgiving their perpetrators and keep going back to them, creating the cycle of abuse. Haewon knows Seo is a piece of shit, but he doesn’t choose to believe instead through his twisted vision of what love is he still believes there is a still a chance.
