I absolutely still adore this story, but it doesn't sit well with me that most of the fights between women were because of...love. Men. It's realistic, yes, but it feels like it was too emphasized that all women who hatid the MC all had the same motivation. I wish we couldve seen a simple clash in personality, a difference in ideals, varying motivations, or insecurity with their social standing, etc. Women fight & get jealous of each other for a myriad of reasons, and fights over men is just the tip of the iceberg. So it feels like a disservice to these characters.

On the other hand, I'm pleasant surprised by her sister! I HATED her guts and recently, she has proven herself to be a formidable ally to our MC! I like how she's scary in the social scene, and I can understand now how she could manipulate everyone to adore her before. I hate to admit it, but she's actually really Skilled!

I think this works pretty well, because FL is going out of her way on purpose to not make waves. So the only people who would be going after her are doing it for
    1. The war (due to ml)
    2. Her birth situation (ie being the princess or people thinking shes a nobody commoner/mistresses child)
    3. Women in love with ml or some other guy for no reason or because of mls direct actions

It actually adds more interest, because when the conflicts go deeper you find that it's tied in the number 1 issue. Like even the most recent female, wasn't ACTUALLY creating conflict solely due to her interest in ml, but because she's being manipulated.
These are natural love conflicts, they are women being manipulated into hiding the deeper issue because it's fairly easy to dismiss everything as being only a love conflict.

Like FLs sister pushing dad to get rid of FL. At first it's played as only being caused by jealousy, and then it's tied directly into the way the admiral raised them and the fact that Diana is a tool. And then even after that, you find out the dad is using the sister in order to accomplish some underhanded shenanigans in the war.

There aren't other conflicts because Diana doesn't want to have conflicts. She incredibly smart, and changes her behaviors to match any situation she's in, so of course most conflicts have to be orchestrated. And people are fairly weak to love and money, so it will be the two biggest pushes to cause conflict.
