WHY must we always insist on making a female protagonist who explicitly states that she doesn’t want children in the beginning of the story pregnant to ‘show the joy of motherhood’ or whatever and imply that women will eventually be fine with having a child even if they didn’t want to have one goddamn its annoying can we please please let a female protagonist have another ending than barefoot and pregnant istg im begging. i’m on my knees. she was so cunt don’t do this to her!! she’s too cunt for her competence and intelligence to be disregarded like this

Especially since this female protagonist has a really good reason for wanting to avoid pregnancy. Apparently her own health isn't a good enough reason to not have kids, which is a message I am seriously side-eyeing.

I do agree w u and I would like to see a story where they follow through on that but I don’t necessarily think this is a bad progression? She’s only known the sadness of having children that were manipulated and didn’t love her so I feel like her being able to have a second chance at that would be great! Doesn’t she deserve the possibility of more happiness? Should she miss out on that chance because she is afraid? You miss 100% of the shots u don’t take. Also I would love to see a smaller version of her or Ian (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ I just feel like since it alr happened, I’m all for it. Also, I don’t think her health is a problem? She survived having 2 children already. And was her health always so bad? I thought her physique was more on the normal side, although I do think I remember Romeo saying something about her health, but it wasn’t rlly emphasized much so I don’t think it is rlly much of a problem. Anyways that’s just my opinion~

It was explicitly stated that she nearly died giving birth and her health tanked after. That was the major reason she gave for not wanting to get pregnant again.
Plus, a woman doesn't need children to be happy.

Oh I see. I must’ve missed that. She did seem like she was having a hard time after giving birth but I assumed she was fine after some time.

I never said nor do I believe that a woman needs to have children to be happy. I just feel like there is a possibility that she can find happiness in it. Having children is definitely not for everyone and no one should feel obligated to have any. ( ̄∇ ̄")

As a woman I don’t plan to have any children because I don’t want to bring them into this cruel and ruthless world but it does make me think about how happy it makes me when I see a baby’s or a child’s smile and happiness so knowing that I will be missing out on caring, smiling and singing to my own child and that saddens me at times, but I would hate to see them turn out like the kids tdy where they are disrespectful to their parents like it’s normal, but that mostly comes down to parenting. Anyways that’s just me. Childbirth is a possibility of happiness…to me.
