Gotta say that was such a let down. I WANT A DRAMATIC REVEAL WTF WAS THAT
Like it starts off good, you know? They smooching an then Mayhan, overcome with guilt, admits the truth
THEN SHIT TAKES A BAD TURN
Why tf would Carsen be upset Maythan doesn't like him? Why is that his question? HIS QUESTION SHOULD BE WHERE THE ORIGINAL MAYTHAN HE FELL IN LOVE WITH WAS! HE SHOULD WANT TO KILL OUR MAYTHAN OVER A MISUNDERSTANDING OR CLAIM HE MUST JUST HAVE WENT CRAZY FROM THE EXPLOSION
Like dude didn't care AT ALL that his Maythan is gone (although my theory is that both Maythans are one in the same but that's for another day...)
Like what an absolute letdown. And then to immediately follow up with the reveal AGAIN to the wolf guy??? Really undercuts the drama and feelings of the scene.
Like Maythan is our main character, I want to linger on his thoughts, I want to see how he feels, hear his inner monologue of conflicting over returning to his real world and his feelings for Carsen.
Like I get this is a comedy, but a good comedy has to be able to slow down for emotional moments if you want to actually get an audience to care for the main character.
Ugh, just what a dumb execution of what could have been good and what had been built up with so much potential
