It's just so uncomfortable to read.

I just came to read this because of the found family troupe but I hate it so much when it feels like the author is pushing romance between Grey-san and the eldest daughter he is LITERALLY their father who adopted them.

tf? how do you even see that??

Uhm the way I see it the author doesn't do that. Some characters have that misunderstanding at first when they see them but for a purpose. In chapter 13 it was so that Aless develops feelings for her uk. And before that it was so that the ex girlfriend from Grey san gets jealous or something. It's not intended to ship Grey san with the eldest daughter in any way ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I don't.. get it sorry I don't think the author is putting romance between that young girl and MC I'm pretty sure they're just aluding to many people ASSUMING or thinking that's his wife or something but he's a paternal figure to her.

Guys okay I get that their is no romance between them but still there's DEFINITELY a reason why people keep assuming the mc is dating the oldest daughter while they never once assumed the same about any other child (it's because the author is showing so). I just said that it's uncomfortable when it FEELS that they both are being shown in some kind of romance angle that's just my opinion tho ( ̄∇ ̄") plus it might be me speaking from trauma cuz of other anime I know (usagi drop I'm looking at you)

We get it we're just expressing our opinion too haha we're trying to see if from your angle! I've always seen his strictly as a father figure for her especially in that chapter he spooked away those boys talking to her and her friend he really showed out as an overprotective dad over his daughter figure to me lol

I feel the issue is that the author is making so many people misunderstand the situation. What’s the intention of bringing up more then once and with more then one person? Will this lead to Gray being more proactive in helping his eldest daughter become less parentified and finally live out her teen years as a teen? We also need to take into account that many of the older kids aren’t fully depending on him yet or calling him dad. It’s just that this kind of assumptions of their relationship before we even got a solid father daughter relationship going on makes it seem like the author will use it as wiggly room for something which is scary since other stories use adoption as excuse that certain relationships aren’t incest because of the lack of blood ties even if the two characters grew up as siblings or as parent and child.
