for me it's good fun if you have nothing else to read, but there's barely a plot, it's just vibes and shenanigans really, so it gets boring real quick

You aren't alone, it's just really about 98% MMORPG and 2% about MC and his fuccboi relationship. I love MMO, but this one doesn't even have plot like .hack or SAO etc, it's just slice of life in game.
