It's rare to have an FL like this. Usually they would cave in and would just sacrifice themselves which make things even more f*cked up. Good thinking of her and amazing as well she had good communication with the ML.
I'm glad MC is smart, act fast and doesn't fall for her dad's trap. She knows she can't handle it alone so she find solutions and honest with ML.
