Listen as much as I hate to say it he wasn't wrong.. I mean would you like a stalker boy comming to you everyday (let say not handsome and not average looking)and telling you that he likes you and does everything in his power to be able to have time with you and is so obvious. ...regardless he has seen his fair share of crazy girls trying to get in his pants... now she only wanted him because she wanted to tie him to her.. the prince doesn't lover her because she prove to him her love but because he saw more than her obsessive side.. but the fml is also dumb like come on just be straight up and say no leave me alone etc etc idk something around those linesn
Yeah it would be fucked up if it was those specific circumstances but few things to consider:
The EXML is literally the crown prince, we don't know the full extent of MC's stalking and chasing but it couldn't go past just bothering him daily because he should have a guard at all times, if the author thought of it anyways.
She couldn't do anything that comes off too threatening because she could literally get executed. From what we've seen in the second timelines flashbacks, all she did was running after him and asking him for tea & lunch all the time.
She couldn't just tell him to stick it up his ass sadly because she's already having enough trouble rejecting him normally, it all comes down to ranks.
Also the ML's love feels like self righteousness, he judged MC once and got humiliated for misunderstanding the situation and now ''he's doing her a favor'' by showing how gracious and amazing he is by ''letting her like him again''
He's like ''Oh I can't be an asshat, yes I was bad but now I'm good, look! I'm even letting her love me again! Aren't I so amazing? surely she will never think I'm selfish again''
Yes he is indeed overly confident he can get her due to her being obsessed in the past... but remember she herself said it herself is due to her obsession and using what she could including her maid and friend that she drag them with her that she ended up that way. .. but in the second time lime she finally open up to her maid and her best friend that she could finally understand that she isn't lonely and that she has people that cherish her. Now the prince only knows more about this because of the current male lead not because she said more than she had to
Ugh I got the ick from EXML. You don't care about people loving you until they prove it to you? how? when you can benefit from them? when they don't love you anymore?
The way he acts like he always knows best and is always right about everything, ugh, he and the sister deserve each other.
It's fucked up he's taking advantage of her situation, even if he doesn't know about her father (which is expected because even if he ''loves'' her, he can't be bothered to learn anything about her) he still knows FL can't decline the literal crown prince.
''It's her choice'' you seem confident because she can't refuse you, I wonder if you had a lower position, you would still be smirking.
