What the reality like? I'm curious
I love this manga because it's warm and accepting about an issue rarely talked about.
Most likely the mom to be become a social pariah, leaves school to raise said chil, live in complete squalor, have no real job opportunity, the girls parents either help or rejected her, the father run away never to be seen again.
opposite. single moms in japan are considered priority well that's what i've seen so far with my friends. if the father will not take any responsibility for the child the government will give allowances which is 15k Yen per month and slowly increases when the child turns 3 y.o up until high school ofc this benefit varies by the annual household income. to so basically if by chance your statement becomes true then it's not really that bad for the mom. except for her mental and emotional health, it's all gonna be up to her how she will handle and take things as they are
I guess reality is hard
it's not easy or just happy moments like the manga . and not everyone is as accepting as they make it. But i hope for a better future for all to be mums out there
as someone who once lived in japan for a long time i'll keep my mouth shut of what reality is (⊙…⊙ )
