I let this stack for several months, partly because the romance in this was much slower than usual slow burns and I’m not great when it comes to waiting for little hints of growth between the main couple. Then I came back at chapters 45-46 and remembered two things I loved about it:
1. FL is so devoted to the queen that she always felt more like a knight than a maid. The fact that she used to be a knight just makes her more awesome; I love FLs who know how to protect themselves.
2. We have a handsome long haired ML who already started developing feelings for the FL and she’s finally become conscious of him. The way she rushed out of the room while her entire face blushed in chapter 46 was adorable. I’m here for this!!!
Side comment: The king sucks at being a husband. He clearly can’t be both. Since they already have kids together, I do hope she leaves him and gets with someone who deserves her. Or just be happy on her own, but I don’t know that that would happen since her kids would have to stay with the king.
