Agree, but I'd like to precise that since he has everything already he doesn't need more wealth or power, and so it's in a way easier for him to choose an orphan like Leila bc he has the power to do so. She is the only thing that he wants and couldn't get otherwise, and the question is to what extend he's willing to go for her. (I've read spoilers)

See that's why somehow I respect Mathias, Despite family condition, reputation and prestige he choose Leila an orphan over the princess..... and he will be a very good hasband.
