im crying my eyes out at this story. i cant believe how relatable and touching the characters are. the feelings they’ve felt and the realizations they’ve made were incredibly well written and tasteful. we started off by seeing them at their lowest… with them believing they were worthless, relying on co-dependency, and self-isolation. but then their journey from this to discovering what love, not just romantic, was supposed to feel like and also truly valuing themselves became the best possible outcome for our mcs
i think this is one of the best representations of bpd as well. and that it doesn’t feed into the romanticized “mentally ill gf” stereotype (if you know you know). it shows a spectrum of symptoms people with bpd can feel in their everyday life that isn’t just affecting their partners. it manifests in many different ways, and the two mcs portray it extremely respectfully. the joy i felt seeing them heal, sort out their turmoil, and wound up back together after all the muck and schemes was like no other… it felt like i won the lottery !! if you’re thinking about reading this please give it a shot. even though it’s heavy and exaggerated for fiction, the dialogue is touching and while it starts off painful- it also narrates the beginnings of new realizations and new life beautifully
