I thought it was obvious that he cared for her on a human/friend level and was pissed that she was thrown into the rivalry between his brother and him for no reason. T-T I did not get that the ML had romantic feelings for her, just that he suspected that something was going on between his brother and her.

I love this explanation because honestly when he said there was “something more enticing at home” that made me think he really did like/love her. I can kind of see the platonic love and respect now.
ok, this is REGULAR literacy, comprehension, and emotional intelligence NOT "media literacy". media literacy is ur ability to understand and discern nuance and identify propaganda/stereotypes/sponsored content etc in the Media like press, newspapers, journals and whatnot - curated content for the public about the real world, not like fiction and stuff. just a PSA! but i do think we need better media literacy too!

It's just about whether or not someone can ascertain the message or meaning of what is being written and portrayed. It's not just about whether someone can discern propaganda or misinformation lol

At first I saw the comments saying media literacy is dead and I thought that was a bit dramatic but nope those comments are right media literacy is dead. You can care about someone on a deep emotional level without loving them romantically. It's pretty obvious that he didn't feel romantic love for his tutor but obviously thought highly of her so when his brother seemingly used her to one-up him that is why he was so angry.
