I have read like basically every single villainess transmigration trope manhwa and manga. When the FL transmigrates to a villainess/extra/evil woman character that is neglected and abused by their parents (or like they know their parent will kill them or sm), am I the only one bothered by the fact that they so easily forgive the parents after the parents decided to like them?? So many of these stories the mc is at first like 'okay I have to get the parent on my side so I don't die' but then as the parent starts to love them they abandon their 'running away to a peaceful life plan' (ofc the ML is also a reason for that) and so easily forgive the parents. It's like I get why but..don't you remember what they did to the og character/ will do to you in the future?? Like girl. And it's different if the parents like sincerely apologized and they begged for forgiveness but most stories aren't like that--- they just gloss it over for the sake of the larger romance plot. Like why does a 5 yr old girl have to have to act like that just to survive???? Did you forget what your dad would've really done to you if you were an actual 5 yr old wanting his love and not like a 30yr old office worker pretending to act like a cute 5 yr old?? Oh yeah, and it's always the dads and brothers. No mom in sight just the cold 'misunderstood' dad and shitty brothers but like I hate the fucking 'misunderstood' dad trope wdym u neglected and allowed ur daughter to be abused her whole life for some shitty reason. And the most heartbreaking thing to me is that they don't even realise their daughter/sister is a whole new person... They just think she's become more amicable and emotionally attuned :( . I know these stories aren't realistic and don't get me wrong I lovvveee isekai & fantasy-- just look at my reading lists. But after reading so many of these stories I just reflected and was like... damn. This is why I appreciate the stories where the MC let's people know she's actually a whole diff person. Thanks for reading my rant.
