Everyone who's confused on the brother part kinda annoys me because if you even for a tiny bit know the source language or culture of what you are reading, it's pretty much common sense that its not the relative brother but just an endearment, which is common in all languages except probably English, idk because in all 3 language i know english is the only one who doesnt have endearment for friends, close friends, even just your schoolmate
