How are we even reading all these Korean yaoi then? Tons of readers on here have no sexual experience and yet they know what sounding is. Everyone has VPN’s and MC could watch porn two seconds after deciding he wanted to. Just because something is illegal doesn’t mean people aren’t doing it or talking about it or reading about it in novels or comics or hearing about it from friends or at school. I don’t read a lot of het comics but it wouldn’t surprise me if anal was in many. Prostitution is extremely rampant in Korea and in homophobic societies gay sex is often used as an insult. I personally find it hard to believe he would have zero concept of this and this whole situation is making this comic have annoying kdrama vibes for me. If y’all are enjoying this and find it realistic and fun then great. I am allowed to dislike it. This series takes slow burn to the extreme and I am not a fan.
Not everyone reads manhwas like this, and not everyone is familiar with gay sex. I'm pretty sure the average straight person would think gay people just shove their dicks in each other’s assholes which is not accurate. There are preparations and other things to be done while having sex, not just that. While I agree the slow burn is too slow, the manhwa is somewhat realistic and interesting.
And u r saying some bull rn. I just read what u wrote. Please r u Korean? Cos I'm part Korean and I'm currently schooling there. Prostitution is not rampant, I've been to clubs in Seoul and I've moved around a lot, I've only seen a few places prostitutes, by a few I mean just 2, and they were female strippers who offered to sleep with me a girl for money. And in my uni, sure there are homophobs tho, but it's not as serious as manhwas. I know at least 5 queer people that are out and still living normally
I will clarify since I can see from your comment that you are upset and have added a lot of extra words and meanings to what I was saying.
This whole conversation stems from the question does it make sense for the MC to have absolutely no knowledge about sex. To me I feel like it is doubtful and is making the story painful to read. The reason I feel this way is because sex is present and societies in various ways and people talk about it and hear about it and younger people learn about it.
It is 2025 and everyone has the Internet and porn is rampant literally everywhere and porn ads are all over the place. Sex is also present in media and comics. Sex work, only fans, and adjacent industries are also alive and thriving literally everywhere in all countries, even in countries that might be more conservative in certain ways. I never said it was only Korea or that Korea was worse than other countries. That isn’t what rampant means. I also did not say that the majority of people in a country use these industries. I was just using it as an example to highlight the fact that sex is very much present in societies, even more conservative ones and that people hear about it and they talk about it and thus younger people learn about it, which is why to me this story is painful to read.
People talk about sex and positive ways, misogynistic ways, homophobic ways, people talk about sex and hear about sex lots of ways. No one said that queer people can’t live happy lives in Korea. It was just an example of how people can learn about anal sex through childish bullying, which is how I unfortunately learned about it (and this was in a pro lgtb country). Kids are dumb and they just make fun of what is different no matter what country they are living in.
In conclusion, I find this story painful to read. Korea is a great country and has wonderful people. Not everyone is a sex fiend. Not everyone is homophobic. Sex is everywhere and people learn about it. MC being excessively naive is annoying to me. People are also allowed to disagree with me and can love this story. The end. Muting now.
how are we 75 chapters into an R manhwa and still no sex
