Maybe cause they’re manhwas, made by Korean authors, a country where pale skin is often ideal. So they like to see an mc where they also can envision themselves as, and kinda catering to their Korean audience who usually has the same thoughts. Read any t’a.pas or w3bt.00n stories and there’s tons of diversity BECAUSE they’re written by English speakers and several authors of different ethnicity
