Welp

It’s kinda sad how these days you can’t just read or like stories with sensitive themes without people judging you or accusing you of being like the characters in them. Back in the day, people could just enjoy whatever they liked without all this prejudice. But now? Apparently, fiction can’t stay fictional for some people. I keep seeing comments like, “Oh, you like this? You must be a pedo.” Bruh, chill. So if I like vampire stories, does that make me a vampire? If that’s the case, let’s all go read stories about billionaires and become one. SMH ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Coz back then mature, sensible readers were reading stuff, but this site and others like it have been bombarded with immature children who should go watch tom n jerry instead of reading mature fiction here. These babies can’t even understand what fiction is.

Exactly. Couldn’t agree more. Probably those who dislike this post of mine are them too…

if the story is romanticizing pedophilla or rape its hard for it to stay fiction, when they drawing something for there fetish that happens to many people thats a very serious thing and they probaly romantizize it on real people to even if its fiction its still gonna be weird as fuck to like a story about a 15 year old being raped by a 30 yr because its a real thing that happens and it should not be drawn for somebodys fetish and enjoyment thats why it cant stay fiction also because its happens in real life so technically its not fiction

This relates to the part I mentioned earlier—apparently, fiction can’t stay fictional for some people. Humans being human. It’s like comparing rational and irrational mindsets, or sane and insane perspectives. One understands what’s right and wrong, while the other is confused about those boundaries. If there are people who fantasize about fictional content and then try to impose it on others to live out those fantasies, I don’t think I need to tell you what category they fall into, right? If you can’t guess, I can only assume you’re being ignorant or judgmental without a solid basis.

I’m not saying what you wrote is completely wrong, but I can’t agree either. You can’t just lump together those who understand fiction’s boundaries with those who don’t. If something like this happens in real life, it’s obviously a crime.

Fiction is fiction. No real humans are harmed in these stories. Don’t mix reality with fantasy. Anyone who does that and harms someone in real life has only themselves to blame and must bear the consequences—not the authors of these genres or the people who enjoy such stories while living like normal humans and harming no one.

I’ll say this again: your comment isn’t completely wrong, but it’s not entirely right either. The same might apply to my perspective, but I’m not here to force my opinion on you. Feel free to hold onto your mindset, and I’ll do the same. That said, if you’re here to argue, I won’t engage further. But if you’re here for a discussion, please keep an open mind when replying.

You’re correct! But No matter how much you explain to these kiddos, they won’t understand, they’d keep confusing fiction and reality, coz they are too immature and inexperienced readers. They’d also get offended if other ppl have different preferences in fiction. They lack reading experience, knowledge, tolerance and understanding. I’ve read many novels, dark ones, I’m also into literature and literature also have much questionable stuff that these babies’ immature minds won’t understand and get offended over.

These kind of stuff is targeted at mature audience who don’t let fiction affect their reality, sensible readers who know the distinction between two. That’s why there are M ratings for a reason. But immature minds won’t get it. And yes, one should never get into an argument with them, it’s like banging your head on a wall.

Glad to see there are still sensible and understanding people around!

I love dark genre stories too, sometimes~ I’m just a bit picky about which type I watch. For example, I’m not really into live-action movies or series with real actors in these genres—they just feel so fake to me.

I prefer enjoying them 2D in Manga, Manhwa, Novel or Anime versions instead (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ Nobody gets harmed anyway~

For anyone who still finds these genres senseless, doesn’t understand what’s reality and what’s fantasy, keeps blaming the author for such stories, or accuses other readers with no basis—I can only say they’re lacking resilience, imagination, and maturity, just like you said.

They probably need some fresh air outside their windows… and maybe touch some grass while they’re at it.
