Don’t think he should’ve even gone to the date? Even if it was a major investor for the company, saying to your literal lover that maybe you and another woman will get married if it’s successful is just scummy behavior ? I know they’re dating in secret, and they both cater to the women in the company, but it’s not like Ozaki is open to dating anyone other than him, so why would Tsuburaya even talk about hitting it off with someone else and marrying them?
He could’ve just rejected the date, flat out. Doesn’t even have to mention he has a lover, just simply stays he has no time or would prefer to focus on work. Considering it’s a professional status, the president wouldn’t have minded if he wasn’t willing to meet his daughter, but he still went? That’s just… cheating, is it not?? Not even a “sorry I couldn’t get out of it” or “this date will mean nothing” just a “Maybe we’ll get married!” And getting stunned when Ozaki takes it to heart???
