it's because the chapters have gotten incredibly short and unimportant character no. 25526277272 is getting their backstory shown every other chapter; the actual match progression has been next to nothing. watch the next 20 chapters be rin with his stupid fucking tongue out making embarrassing threats or something.

I think they felt shorter because the mangaka kept making two pages spreads with barely any dialogue, I'm not really pqying attention but the pages count itself felt pretty consistent (?). But yeah honestly I just want real progression, atp I rather see this shit updating once a month but with real story progression rather than seeing these boys being all barks, tongues out and everything every goddamn week and I come to hate rin for that, I swear I got secondhand EMBARASSMENT seeing him I kinda slipped over his parts tbh. Gonna pay attention once he's back to his old self (which he will never)
