Some of these are not that bad they're just basic an plain. I'm starting to think you guys have awful taste and make the most un unique, bland and basic shit popular.

Also yeah you're right the most basic stories get extremely popular, BECAUSE they're basic, like it's the right amount of plot and the right amount of romance (toxic or not) and more and more people will read it (this take doesn't account for Jinx, that shit is trash and only got popular bc the author's previous work (that is also trash))

Like maybe im bias bc it's the one and only BL manhwa I've read with an unreliable narrator and the ending was very satisfying (i also skipped over the smut and basically read the all ages version since I care more abt the plot)

I tried so hard to give a shit about the game thing but i eventually gave up lol i was bored

I dropped it when Soohyun raped/sexually assault the ml like I was already uncomfortable, by the fact that there was rape in the beginning, and then it happened again but the roles were reversed. It kind of annoyed me, and at that point, I didn’t really see the point in continuing since I found a plot boring. I understand that it is a psychological manhwa but I just simply felt that those scenes didn’t need to be added.

i was annoyed with the game thing because they had some in game tournament shit and were typing in chat (confirmed not vc) while fighting like i have played these games there is no way you can type in chat and play you will get killed like its a petty complaint but come on

Valid tbh, I decided to read the all ages when they showed the creep old dude raping a character bc of the same reason. I also think it's a story that didn't need to add sex at all but the fact that when they did it was almost never consensual was a letdown

Lol im the opposite I preferred the game version more, it was more interesting and with more support characters, the IRL version is just a miscommunication trope that goes on and on and on
I ended up dropping it bc the translators changed and I wasn't that into it either

i dont recommend it unless u like slowburn and infuriating miscommunication and outright non-communication. its been 60+ chapters and theyve made absolutely no progress, hell, at some point they make Negative progress. it was lame

Omg I didnt like most of these too Sign and CBAW were one of my firsts so ofc its good but if I read them now I'd probably be bored halfway. Ive read lots of manhwas so my standards have gotten a bit too high so when 9+ rating manhwas keep getting good reviews, I try to force myself to enjoy it but I end up dropping it... I've probably dropped Pearl of the Dragon like 5 times now because the art is just too good to pass but the plot just doesnt hit me.

I don’t agree on the jinx thing. It’s definitely the art that carries it. I like checkmate but I found the mc more interesting than the ML and the overall plot wasn’t very interesting. The dynamic was good tho

I would say A Guy Like You and Unripened Expression were complete shit, A Guy Like You started off not as bad, but then this one character showed up and run the whole storyline, and it went fucking nowhere and was stupid.

Unripened Expression had awful writing and the author was stupid for putting so much character development in this one character and nothing came from it, waste of my damn time

A Guy Like You didn’t even make sense at a certain point the author is such a shitty writer like she needs to stop writing I don’t even know why her work is popular as well.
