Yea I’m pretty sure you’re spot on with the interpretation here. Some think the girl had a crush on him because of similarities in looks; and as much as I understand that line of thinking, it was probably a platonic relationship between them and he saw right through his brother’s bs

I agree even if he did like her this was years ago in high school but to me it seemed more like a close friendship maybe even viewing her as a big sister
I don’t think he liked her he just came to care about her and he was pissed his brother would use her to get to him and he didn’t genuinely like her And just because they look alike doesn’t mean he fell for the mc because they look similar some people just have a type and really I don’t think he purposely chose him cause his hair was pink he genuinely loves him idk why yall underestimate his love for him….
