Well yeah, the curse would kill him, if she didn't sleep with him.
So at the order of the priests she drugged him, slept with him and then ran away out of guilty conscience.

It seems like she was peer pressured into doing that tbh but still it doesn't make it right...

yeah my point was that she still wasn’t right in doing it. she couldn’t, like, romance him first? she liked him, but let the priests peer pressure her bc it suited her worries.

i mean peer pressure did happen but she knew it was wrong from the jump. that’s why she ran.

it just makes me question why the author didn’t go a different route. they totally could’ve done a romance with this before them doing the deed.

But the title already implements, that there was only one night which she wants him to forget.
Of course, a more consensual one-night stand would be preferable.
On the other Hand, they were married for about a year, and he avoided her all the time, so romance was really difficult.

ahhhh i see. well, i’m just used to the mc overcoming the romance hurdle anyways so i guess that didn’t really process for me. the title though…there def still could’ve been another way to address that story-wise, but not in the way i was trying to describe lol
