hey so I'm 18ish chapters in and like is this actually any good beyond the art being good? like when does the sexual assault stop and does it get addressed at all? or is this one of those "well he liked it anyway so actually this is an amazing romance"

look I really want to like it but it's getting monotonous, I want to know if the relationship ever changes for the better

It was a tough first few chapters, I admit, I skipped most of the sex scenes. I think this is common in period drama BLs, and at this point, I'm assuming it's for historical reasons. The eventual "softening"

And genuine concern Jae-Shin towards Lee Nok does alleviate the lack of explicit consent of their sex scenes. But no, the sexual assault has not been addressed and I don't think it will ever be since I think Lee Nok (as of now) is past the point of questioning Jae-Shin's actions, given how he was saved multiple times and is madly in love with Jae-Shin.

I'm actually at the point where I don't watch the sex scenes anymore and just read the parts with actual plot because I still enjoy the horror supernatural aspect of the story. I like gay seggs as much as the next guy, but they fuck a lot.

Mostly in the 2nd season^^' The first consent vocalised (but we didn't see it, just Jaeshin asking) was around 40ep. "The green one" as I call it.

As for nonconsensual it was adressed in the manhwa - Yeom was talking about it, if you're on 18th chapter it means you saw Nok skewering Jaeshin for all that. And after that scene Nok will agree to the sex meetings in general, but we still get many "wait's" and "stop's" from him (sometimes out of habit), and Jaeshin not really listening or listening in his own way...

unfortunately the sa isn’t ever really addressed but jaeshin and lee nok come to a comprise which changes the situation. but i really really recommend to keep reading though! the character development in the 2nd season is so so good. also not to justify jaeshin’s actions bcuz you can’t but we do get to understand him as a character more and his thought process which kinda explains why he acts the way he does in s1
