I know millennial and elder-z shit can be a bit cringe (I'm millennial), but the crap they come up with is just...
I wonder if all that screentime has rotted their brains as well their visual acuity.
My youngest niece, an alpha, is definitely fried. Fortunately, I saved my older niece (z) and my nephew (z) by dragging them into cultural experiences and nature.
I don't hear or see them ever using that lingo. My niece texts me textual emoticons. I am pleased. ヾ(☆▽☆)
-- In case you're wondering why I'm mentioning that specifically, I read in some article that z and alphas don't use textual emoticons and think it's whatever word they're using for these days for "uncool". Probably "boomer".

Well it’s that, and the fact most kids just don’t grow up with textual emoticons anymore. Just emojis, bitmojis and memojis because that is what is readily available on phone and tablet/iPad.
Ik that I completely forgot about them until and I stumbled on this website and saw the feature for the first time in awhile.

My niece has far superceded me in the emoticon department. I just showed her a couple about two years ago and now she is coming up with ones that I've never seen before, but still make sense.
I was like, "Girl, you make me look like a noob".
And she responded with some emoticon similar to this: ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
But waaaaaaaay cooler.
