I don't get why some of the comments are going on about how the author is a seething misandrist when this is South Korea we're talking about.

Like their hate for the XY chromosome has roots to it y'know, there was that molka chat issue recently where a bunch of fathers, brothers, uncles, and male classmates were doing AI porn of the woman they knew. And when said women reported them the woman were also blamed for "being too pretty" or were just told to "make yourself look ugly".

There was even one story where someone's brother was selling nude pictures, sleeping pictures, and her clothes to a bunch of boys in her school. And when she reported it to her parents, they only told her to forgive him because "siblings should be close", and their police did nothing too because it was a civil issue and her brother was also a minor. Sons are always being coddled by the parents while blaming their daughters for no reason at all.

That doesn't even count how SK men are in general, sleaziest guys I've had the misfortune meeting. They also smell bad. Like they may look good but their B.O is....yikes.
Also, these guys were from Seoul tho and my friend has told me that Seoul boys are a different breed of misogynistic so I can't really compare to guys from other provinces or islands(・_・;)

There's a reason why female tourists are warned when meeting up with South Koreans guys and a reason why every woman there are wary of hidden cameras in restrooms. Men.

Like yeah the artist is insane for saying they want this and that to happen to men but can you really blame them tho?

Makes me wonder how those male idols really act behind the camera

With context, I wouldn’t blame the artist or the person who made the story.

I actually have inside knowledge for this, my friend used to work for a company that made some MV sets, she said the worst she's had experience with were with boy groups. She mostly worked on a bunch 3rd gen MV sets.

Like most of them were polite but there would always be that one or three guys there that treated everyone was under them like shi t because of their huge ego. Specially ones that get huge breaks on South Korea or Overseas.

Like treating the staff like servants type of ego, smoking on a closed set, or making fun of their fans who bring them those premade meals or coffee trucks.

She also had a story where on one occasion one of them was being a creep to a younger staff member because "You're so pretty! If I was any younger, I would have slept with you!", that coworker was 19 mind you. Like he treated it like a joke but, that's not something normal to say to anyone imo. (⊙_◎)

She had problems with girl groups too because some of the girls would have queen bee or mean girl mindsets, but her horrid stories were mostly with boy groups.

I think you’re onto something here. (Small correction though, the author and the artist are not the same person, and the artist has zero social media presence. She’s never said anything about wanting this to happen to real people. (If anyone wanted to see REAL LIFE people being sexually tortured like this then they should be called out and shamed).) But your point about why Korean BL authors gravitate towards this stuff in fiction makes a lot of sense. I’ve always believed that instead of scratching our heads with our thumbs up our ass mad about why the Korean BL industry pumps out so much noncon we should analyze the culture around the Korean women who make this stuff instead. When you look deeper, you realize a lot of it is just a power fantasy wherein they dismantle the hegemonic male body through some bonkers yaoi fucking. OBVIOUSLY sexual violence against anyone is hideous and reprehensible, but some people should do a 180° turn at the male species if they’re so worried about rape culture in Korea. Because if there’s anyone going around brutalizing anyone, it’s not the coomer yaoi artists.

Yeah that why I'm conflicted about this story yes it bad but if this what to keep yourself sane while being a woman in SK and not really hurting anyone

The creepy joke wasn't said by a boy group but by a band member iirc. They were popular in sk but not that much worldwide and a member was jailed in connection to Seungri funnily enough. That's all I have to say..... allegedly (ʘᴗʘ✿)

Also I was wrong about her working only in 3rd gen sets lol, she also worked in a bunch of 2nd gen ones too before she changed her job.

Thank you for the correction, I was confused on who said what and I ended up mixing both together. (☆▽☆)

And I completely agree with you, I think it also goes hand in hand with revenge fantasy. Like some people, like myself, like to read stories like these to cope with our own sa's that we've experienced. It's much less "this crime should happen to men in real life" and much more "these characters reminds me of my abuser, I wish something like this happens to them."
It's not thrown to the population of men as a whole but the abuser that made us suffer.
