that was the most underwhelming, disappointing, disheartening, and upsetting final fight…wtf was that

we set up this fight between the high mage and avartia for nearly 200 chps, reference their previous fight that spanned three days and nights and she was only barely able to seal him, but then we get to the actual fight and he, who is MORE POWERFUL than last time, is defeated by essentially the power of love…i’m…i don’t even know how to describe how palpable my disappointment is.

and the actual fight with avaritia was- what? 2 chapters?? and cahill somehow weakened him enough by ONE sword stab, not even a fancy stab, and ONE magic attack from the high mage and he just… disintegrates???

anyways this was an okay read aside from that abysmal final fight. need the father carnally. i couldn’t care less abt cahill, just the hyperion boys

When that chapter just came out, everyone thought it was so anti-climatic lol so full of plot holes and plot armor too
