Cakeverse is a subgenre of BL (Yaoi) that takes place in an alternate universe where people are either Cakes or Forks, or normal:
Cakes: Have a sweet taste and smell, and their bodily fluids are the sweetest. Only Forks can taste a Cake, and Cakes can live their lives unaware that they are Cakes.
Forks: Have lost their sense of taste for anything other than Cakes. They are consumed with a desire to eat Cakes, but they rarely attack a Cake on their first encounter.
