lollll no its a reference to when remi tells him what could have happened if she hadn't gotten him out of there. i think that's the image they both thought of in horror, but didnt show.
that is more of a "what-if" basically, if the shopkeeper is captured this would be happening to him. But, we know now that he's only a seller, the medicine/artifacts creator is another demon.
