I don't think Dan is suicidal. He's depressed, he drinks alcohol until he blacks out, so I think he's there, an alcoholic sleepwalker, which could lead a depressed person to commit involuntary suicide.
Our poor baby don't wanna die but he wants to rest. The best rest for him now is death so thats probably why he unconsciously walked into the water . Its so sad that his body automatically did that when he didn't want to.
Apparently a theory is going around that doc dan was sleepwalking and not trying to k!ll himself . He subconsciously did it simply to be at peace and all his pain to disappear
