Chapter 4 naho overheard kana saying “I like you aoi” and aoi replies “I feel the same way”. That same chapter naho also says “wouldn’t everyone love to see a beautiful couple like them” same chaper again naho tells his mum “kana got a boyfriend” so idk why you’re asking me if we read the same thing bc chapter 4 is clearly trying to insinuate that kana and aoi are dating so what else am I supposed to think. I didn’t read past chapter 9 bc like I said in my comment it felt weird to me so I dropped it
Naho misunderstood that they were together, and just went with it. It was only his assumption. Later on, he talks to Kana who was like, "what? I like Aoi as a friend" then showing how they were joking around (remember that Naho covered his ears, so he missed a lot of the convo)
