So what's the point of making it a shonen ai if they're not going to love each other romantically?

Lots of people want them to remain as friends and may be they will however I want them to end up together . I don't know they fit perfect with each other. But I doubt that will happen though.Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

Toru san always have a way to ending things open but with insinuations. I would say that I would be happy ether way, it's only that it will be so new if they don't end together. I just finish what there is now. I just don't want and ending like Musubenai nektai. I love it and hate it at the same time.

At the end of volume one, Tohru said that the romance will be slow, and it would take 3 volumes. So my guess is that they definitely end up together, but we are barely at the beginning of the second volume, so a lot more has to happen before the romance can start.
I agree that this manga beautifully captures the friendship between Yuiji and Yamato, but I think the arc of this manga will be Yuiji discovering what it means to love someone on multiple conflicting levels. To love someone as a friend, to love someone as a girl/boyfriend. To realize the stakes involved in love.
In that way, there is no one more appropriate for him to fall in love with than Yamato.
I will say this since I finish reading the chapter 3. i don't want the two main characters to fall in love whit each other. It would be SO refreshing for that to NOT happen! Like, real male frienship.
The second thing is I love how Touru san portraits the young days so real. It goes slow but a the same time it has a feeling of meaningful and lazy time passing by.
