how is that changing my narrative? I have been consistent all the way, you're the one who keeps on trying to find grounds only to prove me right- labelling men as only dads is non-heteronormative? be for real, so if it's a transwoman x man who had a surrogate child, you'll still insist on calling the transwoman a dad since he is by default a dude? and if you say no because they already look like a woman, then you're just biased to appearance, which again hammers in to heteronormativity (masc=men; femme=women) Another thing, I kept saying, Mom, unlike Aunt is a functional term, which you just proved with your measly definition- if the glove fits, then it works, so why should it bother you?
Literally the only one worked up here is you maternal instinct pp. You read someone’s opinion and got offended on behalf of a fictional character. And what you want me to apologize for bringing up queerness in a…. queer space? and you can answer that last question yourself. Cause right now it seems the only possibility you’re open to is your own opinion. Just like you think its okay for hye sung to be called mom because he serves the functional aspect of giving birth, someone else is entitled to have an opinion that that is weird and is perpetuating this weird cycle of misogyny and heteronormative gender roles in queer media. I do not want to argue with someone who barely has the reading comprehension to realize that all they’ve been doing so far is contradicting their own argument. So have a nice day and enjoy mpreg!
Never have a read a long ass rant amount to absolutely nothing, so rebutting that I'm gay because YOU first raised the notion that you're lesbian is me being aggressive? LOL and of course, OF COURSE! you're gonna pull that crap that I should answer my own question because YOU don't have one LMAO, you're the one who said that it's going to affect what I represent, so I'm asking you now - how? you raised it, enlighten me. I'm not closed off to other ideas, but insisting that men should only be called dads in FICTION where they literally gave birth to the kid is by far the definition of a closed mindset, and how tf is that misogynistic? calling a person who gave birth to you is misogynistic and heteronormative? don't throw around terms don't fully know, kid.
how is being trans changes everything, if anything, a transMAN is the closest thing to a male omega in real life (including the womb), that's why I gave a closer example. And yet most of the time, they would still insist that they be called Moms. They identify as men, even went through the transition of being one, looks like one, gave birth to the kid, and they are still the mom in that dynamic, regardless if the partner is a man or woman, they would still prefer to be called moms because they gave birth to the child.
see idk... i personally don't like calling the omega "mom" but i don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it. in a game i play there's a woman character who gets called "father" by her kids because she wants to be called that. i think it's just a personal preference thing and doesn't need to be blown so out of proportion. like i'm a dude and if i had kids and got called mom i would be super uncomfortable but if another man wants to be called mom and is comfortable i don't see the problem yk? after all these are just fictional characters and lines on a screen so it's not hurting anyone. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
someone mentioned not wanting to push heteronormativity onto mlm relationships, and while i can see that perspective, i think it's pushing it even more to imply men can't be "moms". like i get what their saying, it's like when people say the homophobic question of "who's the man in the relationship and who's the woman in the relationship." but this just isn't the same concept. "mom" and "dad" are just titles, they have nothing to do with the gender. men don't have to strictly be called "dad" in an omegaverse OR in real life. i get that this is just an omegaverse, and ultimately everything boils down to the creators decision, but i just don't think it's that serious. ( ̄∇ ̄")
i literally said that everything changes if they're trans. a trans woman can call herself a mother, and a trans man can call himself a mother too. there’s nuance here because all these existing titles never took trans identities into consideration. i’m not going to sit here and let myself be labeled as transphobic when i’m just talking about two male identifying characters. and yeah, it’s fiction, but this isn’t new to bl, it’s always pushing these rigid gender roles onto characters. god forbid someone doesn’t like it
LOL, and yet you don't give enough reason as to how that changes it? wth is the difference? your main ground for male omegas being called "mom" as weird, according to you is coz they are men or "identify as men" in the first place- Transmen do too, and much like male omegas, they are capable of giving birth, and when they do, some do want to be called as mom, because that's just how it is. You seem to be the one who's reaching here, desperately trying not to be called as transphobic because you're close to getting in that territory.
also, pushing the gender rigid roles into a character IS insisting that men should be men and women only women. You're the one who assumes this role in the first place, your statements presumes that men can't be feminine in a same sex coupling or else it's pushing "gender rigid roles" And of course, now you're gonna pull the "You just don't like my thoughts coz it's different" you're cornered, if you had argued better, fr lots might've agreed with you, I might've agreed with you, god knows the number of BLs I've read where the ukes are so feminized, it might as well be shoujo-- but you don't.
we were sitting here talking about two male identifying characters and i continue to refer to them in my entire comment and you bring up trans. im no trans so idk how it works for transmen or why they might prefer to be called as mom but ill take that as part of their identity and preference and respect that. my issues with doing the same to male omegas who are not trans btw, stems from how the bl always feminizes the bottoms, not from a rejection of trans men's identities. what part of my expressed discomfort of pushing heteronormative roles into bl does not address that??
calling an omega male mom is weird asf. so take it as you will, idc about convincing you or anybody for that matter.
I brought that up because like I said, a transman is the closest thing to a male omega, you said so yourself "male identifying characters" is that not a transman but just real and not fiction? specially when you spouted that nonsense that only when men give birth IN REAL LIFE can we can we even consider having some other term for it, LOL how much more segregating can you be? like a child borne from a trans is any different from any other woman out there. Also, as someone else pointed out, it is in fact already happening, so what's your excuse? what a joke
haven't read this shit but why the hell do you keep calling him his mom? that twink is a man. it's so fucking weird even if it's mpreg
