That's how it works in omegaverse. It goes more by the secondary sex characteristic than the first unless they have the same secondary sex characteristic. In this case, Byul's parents, Dojin and Hyesung, are Alpha and Omega. Male omegas have a womb and can give birth.
And honestly, they're just characters. No need to get so hard-pressed about it.
what a heteronormative way of thinking, that's what makes omegaverse fun, it crosses that threshold. If you get the definition of mother/mom from any dictionary, the uke fits that perfectly without looking at him, so it's really not that weird. Although the Auntie part- that one was odd because the definition for that word is simply a female relative that's a spouse of/sibling to either parent, there's no function involved unlike with mother/father, there's no reason why he should be called an Aunt when he is still a dude.
thank you I hate heteronormativity in queer omegaverse like it takes away the whole point of the genre if you’re just going to substitute them for a man/woman relationship, that’s just bioessentialist misogyny. They can be a male omega who gave birth and still be called ‘dad’, those 2 things can exist at the same time
mother/mom literally has a functional meaning, that's why it's not weird to call someone that IF they meet that criteria or function, LOL just say you hate the term because it reminds one of women, ya'll acting all inclusive for queerness when what's really happening is that you're just hating on anything associated with femininity
the literal definition of mother in the dictionary is "The female parent of a human being; a woman in relation to a child or children to whom she has given birth", so tell him how the hell does Heesung meet any of those requirements? does he identify as a woman? no he doesn't. are omegas stated to identify as females even if they give birth? no. otherwise this shit wouldn't be BL. those heteronormative roles enforced on women is toxic as fuck, so why the hell do you want to bring that shit into the queer space?
read that again, slowly. Did I not say it's functional and if they meet that function then I it's not weird? literally says "a woman in relation to a child or children to whom she has given birth" yes, the uke is not a woman, but he meets this function, unlike with the term "Aunt" that is completely titular.
haven't read this shit but why the hell do you keep calling him his mom? that twink is a man. it's so fucking weird even if it's mpreg
