that time of the year

Rereading this for the 3rd time... I associate it with autumn and winter, when all the stuff in Rin forest went down. The suspense and tension in those first volumes is off the charts, rarely does any piece of fiction grab me as much as they do. Then latter two thirds are the aftermath, painstaking flashbacks and constant trauma not to mention Greg's ghost haunting both Jeremy and Ian. It's kind of like life, loose threads aren't neatly tied up and people come and go and some wounds stay forever. If you'll excuse me now, I'll be ruminating on these characters and story until next year...
