Methink this is a foreshadowing of how this guy will also conquer the whole "world" aka dungeon.. and i dont think he'd be able to leave even when a gate opens up to return back to earth..
he cant leave his pets, the guides, the snowman.. he wont be able to.. so he just might stay there and be with them instead
