Your reaction to any criticism being "then why keep reading?" is so unhealthy. Not to mention incredibly counterintuitive. People are criticizing the story because they know that the author can do better.
I understand it must be frustrating to read negative things about a piece of media you like; believe me, I can 100% relate, but immediately using that argument not only achieves nothing but also harms the thing you're trying to protect
I've been a fan of this author since BJ Alex (hell, that manhwa was my fave for a long time), so when I tell you that I'm a fan of theirs, I am not lying. However, this does not exempt them from any criticism, especially because of how lazy some of the writing is.
Creating a toxic character is fine, but if that character is so unredeemable, then their redemption arc is going to be unrealistic. I am still hopeful that SOMEHOW Jaekyung is gonna be redeemed, but it's highly unlikely.
This being a 'typical' Manhwa is not, and will never be a valid excuse for poor writing. People will continue to read to see how the story ends. If you quit everything as soon as you don't like it, then you miss the point of hardships.
Kung away mo makita magreklamo mga tao then wag kang mag internet ??
By critique I mean how they're constantly making it so Dan ends up missing Joo despite his abuse, is some comments I've seen so far. Also how they purposely made the "perfect" scenario in the new chapter for Joo to come and save the day or what not, which I agree it's a bit malicious
I do agree with you that "he needs to suffer more" isn't critique, I want referring to that at all |゚ー゚)ノ
And like you said, it's a typical bl manga (that glorifies sexual assault) which yaoi fetishizers are into, so no wonder it's #1
Say something intelligent? Alright, here you go: People can absolutely read toxic stories and still hate the abusive characters—or the author, for that matter. It's called having an opinion. You might've heard of it—when someone forms thoughts about something based on their own perspective instead of blindly agreeing with garbage takes like yours.
The fact that you're defending this guy is embarrassing, honestly. Just because a story is "toxic" doesn't mean people have to like it or shut up about how messed up it is. If anything, they're allowed to critique it even more.
If you can't handle people calling out abusive behavior, maybe you shouldn't be engaging in discussions about these stories at all. Go ahead and worship your trash-tier faves, but don't act shocked when others call them out for being exactly what he is: abusive.
Stupid person, ppl that can't handle toxicity normally avoid this kind of content, don't you agree, ofc you agree because that's logic.
If ppl hate the character which, of course, can happen, those intelligent ppl don't go comment "BICH TOO SOON FK OFF" alright? They go "mmh I think it's a bit soon for a come back, we need Jjk to suffer more and Dan too in the process, he needs to reflect on his actions bc I think he still not aware of his feelings yet" here that's what I call an opinion.
This is simple you like it, that's gr8, you don't like it don't go insult the story/characters/author in the comment section instead stop reading it.
When did I defend him, dog? I say to ppl like u to reread the story or to drop it coz you didn't understand a single effort the author put in her work. Basic shit to understand : Seme loves Uke, Uke is suffering so they shouldn't be apart, Seme is a dick and never showed love to anyone buuuut he treats Uke differently.
And you're not calling abusive behavior bich, if u really do you would move your ass from that old couch and go outside to protest against rape and sx assault real ppl are victim of everyday.
This is a typical BL manhwa, full of red flags then chasing arc then they will end up eventually.
If you don't like the how the story is unfolding, why read?
I don't get why people are still reading this then they will comment negatively. Kakairita puro reklamo.
