What i understood is in their past lives the seme hated the uke cause he was annoying him by following him around, so he decided to leave him to die but others saved the uke. And when the seme saw the uke dying he started to love him (psycho) that's why he wanted him not to die. So when he heard a rumor about a snake that is eating people and pretending to be the people it ate, he plans to make that snake into uke to bring him back to life. The shaman told him once the ceremony is over the uke will be back to how he was before he was about to die, but he said he didn't need the former version and made the shaman split the uke's soul, the one with long neck and current mc the reborn one, hence his soul was not whole from the moment he was born in this life.
Now about the seme, the long neck uke (Muni) was leeching off of that shaman's family for a few hundred years and saw the seme when the daughter got into their company and started haunting him. While haunting the seme he realized he could suck the energy of people through the seme to get more power, plus he wanted the seme to do whatever he says(technically a puppet) so Muni ripped a part of the seme's soul and made him into the ghost version of him. That's why the ghost version can't unobey the long neck ghost.
It looks like Muni is the bad ghost at first but if you read the last few chapters it turns out Muni is the former version where he loved the seme purely and unconditionally, and the one filled with hatred is in the uke's body (that's why the seme is so fond of him after he awakens), season 2 ends with him awakening and the uke remembering his past life wholly (he didn't want to cause it was so painful). And the author said when the uke remembered his past life the past life seme was awakened with his memories.

I saw the raw which has over 82 chapters and i still don't understand a thing this story is hella confusing me.
