I'd like to know the specifics on why Javier's mana is rejected while the Queen's mana can be absorbed

I need numbers, figures. I need the densities and qualities that justify the rejection. The theory behind mana, the workings of it. Why the side character can't absorb the MC's mana even though he's the MC and they both trained together on the Asrahan method while the Queen figured it out for herself. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
